The Village of Steger and Chicago Heights merger

The Village of Steger and Chicago Heights park district have merged in a joint effort to make sports better for all children in the two south suburban city’s. Things are still being worked out with in this merger. The hope is to get both city’s working simultaneously in an effort to bring the best programs for each and every participant.

Basketball is set to start with both city’s January 18th. To accommodate all players some games with be played in Chicago Heights and some in Steger. Chicago Heights and Steger have already had softball, baseball and tee ball merged together in the spring and fall seasons.
